Condition of the pen :

Gently used, with limited  tear of wear of usage. no major damage to pen ,  writes with flex with no feed-back. No patches or fixes done by antikcart. Ink not leaking through nib and feed, we have tested the penwith  light taps on tail end while the nib is face down, ink does not spill. No teeth or chew marks on barrel. The green colour transparent ink window clean and clear.  No holding mark around barrel

Barrel to  nib section fitting :-     embedded fitting, not a loose part
piston  to  nib section fitting :-    Snug fit, piston washer is sealing perfect , no ink leaking
Scratches :-    No deep, projected scratches. There are hairline scratches result of usage,   but very minimum. you may need a loupe to see the hairlines.
Bents :-    No visible bent to barrel or cap
Dents :-    The barrel carries a sloppy dent at nib section, not really noticeable, this dent will appear only with a loupe test. not sure if it is a dent or a usage mark.
Crack :-    No crack on body or cap. Further on loop inspection we did not find any crack filling by previous owner.
Colour :-   Barrel black colour is clear, no fading seen. Cap also appears to be gently used, no tough colour changes.
Cap :-       Snug fit.  screw cap is checked for grip  while clipped in shirt pocket.
Nib :-        Semi flex original tropen iridium gold plated M nib is in place,  nib writes flex with smoothness, with natural use transition, nib is not grinded, with original iridium tip.
Cap Posting :-    Yes, well balanced while posted, nib dont miss while writing, due to cap weight .

Restoration details

Nib :-     Original tropen semi flex nib. supplied by original owner.
Ink tank :-   Atikcart has cleaned and greased the piston.
Barrel :-    little buffing and cleaning  goes to the barrel . just to give that happy feeling for the new owner.

Clip:-    On close observation we realized the cap clip is a brand new golden colour brass alloy, does not have the tear and wear .  Cap clip is a replacement.

Nib Section : The nib section had some touch stains attached to it, we had to do extra buffing and polishing on nib section,  now we have restored the nib section 99.9% to the original condition.

Clean used condition vintage tropen scholar piston filler fountain pen,  will be shipped only after detailed testing. We will ink the pen to make sure its working. But pen will be cleaned and dried  before final packing.
